(KPLR) – It's the 20th anniversary for the St. Louis Black Repertory Theater and they are celebrating in a big way. Playwright of "Anne & Emmett" Janet Langhart Cohen stopped by to talk about the celebration and the production of her work.

Anne & Emmett is the memorable play about a meeting between Anne Frank and Emmett Till in a magical place called Memory. In the play, they relate and compare their tragic tales, and work together to reach a common ground of reconciliation and hope.

Anne & Emmett is the centerpiece of The Black Rep’s celebration of 20 years at The Grandel Theatre.

The Grandel Gala will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, with a special performance, reception and ticket prices for the benefit of The Black Rep’s education programs.

Regular performances will be Oct. 26 through Nov. 4, with Friday/Saturdays shows at 8 p.m., and Sunday performances at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $32-$47, with student and senior discounts available.

Tickets are available through MetroTix via phone at 534-1111 or online at MetroTix.com, by calling The Black Rep Box Office at 314-534-3810, or by visiting the Box Office at 1717 Olive, 4th Floor. For more information, visit theblackrep.org.
