Serious Accident Shuts Down McKinley Bridge

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A serious accident shut down the McKinley Bridge for some time Tuesday morning. The accident happened around 5:00 a.m. and forced emergency crews to close eastbound and westbound lanes.

The accident involved at least one car and an 18-wheeler. The St. Louis City EMS transported two people in one ambulance, another person in another ambulance, and they were working to free a fourth person around 5:30 a.m. 

At this time, we do not know the extent of their injuries, but the bridge has reopened to traffic.
