ST. PETERS, MO (KTVI)– Driver Killed After Tanker Overturns On Hwy 79 In St. Peters

The driver of a tractor-trailer filled with fuel was killed when it crashed in St. Peters Wednesday.

The Missouri State patrol said the victim is 58-year-old Arthur Johnson of Louisiana, MO.

Troopers said he was taking the Salt River Rd. exit from Highway 79 when the tractor-trailer rolled.

“It’s hard when you come to a scene like this hoping to make a rescue and end up making a recovery,” Central County Fire and Rescue Asst. Chief Steven Brown said.

It took emergency crews more than three hours to remove the body.
