ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - This week's edition of The Pulse of St. Louis is about a 20-million-dollar state-of-the-art recreation center in O'Fallon Park that's ready to open, but is closed because of rate and funding issues. 21st Ward Alderman Antonio French wants membership fees and funding associated with the center put in writing in the contract. However, he says Mayor Slay's administration refuses to do so. Gary Bess, Director of the St. Louis Parks Department says the numbers are available in proposals. Both sides are optimistic the problems will be resolved soon.
