ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - I brought my chair and this box of candy into my neighborhood to try and sell the rest of the box.

This was a fundraiser so my daughter could go to 5th grade camp.  We didn't sell all the candy so we just bought the rest of the box and the last several nights I've enjoyed Pay Days, Kit Kats and Reeces Peanut Butter Cups.

This is the busy season for school fundraising.

I think most parents end up buying most of the stuff or taking it to their work to try and unload.

That sort of defeats the whole purpose of kids learning what it's like to make money.

In fact I think there's a pretty big disconnect between some kids and the value of a dollar.

So do your best to have your kids sell it on their own, even if I failed to do it.

I'm JB and that's the way it oughta be.
