ST. LOUIS, MO. (KPLR) – A special pitcher was on the mound Tuesday night at Busch. Maggie Bohannan threw out the first pitch.  She is recovering from pancreatic cancer and has been a big part of the homers for health program with Matt Holliday and David Freese.

Holliday has been nominated for the Herschel Clemente award for his work with the program and his work in the community.

The Homers For Health program collects money for Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital with every homerun that Freese and Holliday hit.

The program’s goal is $3,000 for each homerun; they’re only $66 short as of right now.

Fox 2 is a proud sponsor of the program.
