ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - I brought my chair to the heart of lawyer land. Welcome to the skyscrapers where lawyers are learning about People V Jones and a host of other cases.

Well guess what. It seems all that hard work won't matter. All you need is to be pals with the California Governor.

You may have heard about Arnold Schwarzenneger's controversial decision.

Just before he left the Governor's office he shortened the sentence of a guy rung up on manslaughter. Turns out the guy's dad and the terminator were pals.

That's the sort of move that makes me sick.

There's no way the sentence is shortened if it's anybody else's son and that's just not right.

Some state's don't trust a single governor, instead they have an entire board that must agree on a decision.

That's not a bad idea.

And someone should have the authority to punish anyone abusing pardons. What the terminator did was wrong.

I'm JB and that's the way it oughta be.
