St. Louis, MO (KPLR) A Spanish magazine is in the middle of a racial controversy over an altered photo of First Lady Michelle Obama. The picture places Mrs. Obama’s face in a portrait of a slave from 18-hundred. The title is “Michelle, Granddaughter of A Slave, Lady of America”. Mrs. Obama is a descendent of slaves. London’s “Daily Mail” reports the article is about the great woman behind President Obama. The White House hasn’t commented, but online viewers have overwhelmingly called the picture offensive and racist.
