(Chicago Sun-Times) – What do nearly 5,000 solar panels look like? Take a look at the 4,774 solar panels installed on the roof of the Bolingbrook, Illinois, IKEA.

IKEA says, “As part of our commitment to sustainability, IKEA has installed a solar energy system atop this store. The 140,300 square foot array consists of a 1,124-kW system, built with approximately 4,784 panels. IKEA Bolingbrook’s solar program will produce approximately 1,300,746 kWh of clean electricity annually – the equivalent of reducing 897 tons of carbon dioxide, eliminating the emissions of 176 cars or powering 112 homes yearly.”
