‘Waterwalk’ Movie Shot & Screened In St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – The movie ‘Waterwalk’ was partially filmed in St. Louis and will premiere at the B&B Wildwood 10 this Friday at 7pm.  Actor and production manager James Sparling will introduce the film  on Saturday, May 12th at the 7pm showtime.  The movie opens in theaters across the Midwest in May. It will also appear at select theaters nationally.

The film is based on the true story of a father and son attempting to become the first single canoe team to paddle the 1,000 mile Marquette/Joliet discovery route leading to St. Louis. Other locations in the film include locations along in Lake Michigan and along the Fox, Wisconsin, and Mississippi Rivers from St. Ignace to St. Louis.  Scenes were also filmed in Marquette, McGregor, Prairie du Chien, Dubuque, Guttenberg, and Alton.

‘Waterwalk’ is directed by co-star Robert Cicchini.  He is known for acting in roles in Godfather III, Dream Girls, The Mentalist, Law and Order and Six Feet Under. WaterWalk also features 19 year-old Chase Maser in his first lead role.
