FT. LAUDERDALE, FL. - Beachgoers on a Ft. Lauderdale beach got a special treat this Sunday, when a group of Manatees swam along the beach in the swallows.  The sea cows swam into shallow waters of a crowded beach, splashing other manatees and allowing on lookers to pet and play with the gentle giants.

It’s not clear way the Manatees swam so close to the beach and swimmers, but Marine biologist say they may have been nursing in the shallow waters.
