MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KPLR) – The work will continue Monday for insurance companies as hundreds of damaged cars are assessed from Saturday’s storms.  One of the hardest-hit places were car dealerships.  And the bigger the dealership, the bigger the damage.

At Lou Fusz Buick-GMC, hundreds of cars have hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. Inside, the service department was hit hard. As soon as the storm broke, they began moving cars that lost their windshields, trying to keep them from becoming water damaged.

Nearly every car on the lot has some kind of damage, dimpled hoods, broken grills and all that shattered glass. In all, at least 500 cars will need work.

Of course a car dealer's loss is your gain if you happen to be in the market for a new car. There are going to be a lot of them on sale.
