ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - April 22, 2012 marks the one year anniversary of the 2011 “Good Friday” tornado. A strong supercell thunderstorm produced a tornado that left a 21 mile long path of destruction across northern St. Louis County in Missouri and across the river into Madison County in Illinois. Four other tornadoes touched down in the St. Louis region that day.
