KPLR11 back on the air for DirecTV subscribers

KPLR 11 TV is back on Direct TV.  Tribune Co. and Direct TV reached a deal Wednesday night on retransmission fees, ending a four-day blackout that cut off programming to millions of subscribers.

The agreement puts 23 Tribune stations, including KPLR 11 and WGN America back on the satellite provider effective immediately . The programming was cut off March 31, after Tribune Broadcasting said it failed to reach an agreement with the satellite television provider before its contract expired.
