(KTVI)-- We showed you how they opened up their home to three special needs children from China and India.

Then, a Herculaneum family turned up the winners of the "American Family Dream" award.

Bob and Kathy Reed entered the story of their adopted daughter Shruthie in the “American Family Go Get Your Dream Challenge” contest several months ago.

Their amazing little 6-year old won the contest as well as a visit from former actress and supermodel Kathy Ireland.

Shruthie was adopted from India and has a rare condition called Larson’s Syndrome. Her legs were nearly backwards on her body when Shruthie was born.

Part of the contest prize was a princess party at her school with Kathy Ireland. From there the international business woman spent the rest of the day with the Reed family, including dinner at their home.

Kathy Ireland has been mentoring Kathy Reed as well on several of the Reed family's future goals. And for a woman that has been all over the world and seen a lot of different things, Kathy admitted she's never met anyone like Shruthie.

In addition to the princess party and a day of mentoring with Kathy Ireland, the Reed family also won a remodeled bathroom to be handicap accessible for Shruthie in their home.
